Welcoming Lovalet Guitars to the UK, and to the Home of Tone!

With the dust settling after an incredibly busy Guitar Show 2025, I've finally had a moment to sit down and write up a little blog post welcoming the latest brand to join the Home of Tone which was also announced at my stand this year, Lovalet Guitars!

I am now helping stock the unique, retro-inspired Lovalet Guitars here in the UK. The work of Lukas Valter, a luthier based in beautiful Bratislava, Slovakia who has been kind enough to allow me to help represent his work over here. I couldn't help but reach out to Lukas, as I was really taken by his designs after following on social media and also seeing a Nomad Jr in action on YouTube too.

The Guitar Show 2025 and live stage announcement

With NAMM out of the way, it's time for us here in the UK to have a big music show of our own, and that comes courtesy of Torn & Frayed's 'THE GUITAR SHOW 2025', held in Solihull Birmingham on March 1st and 2nd. I've exhibited at this show for a number of years now, and I'll be there again, trying to make the most of a weekend out of the office! But this year I'm also hosting a fantastic artist on the Lark Music Live Stage, with friend of the Home of Tone, Remi Harris!

Trialling possibly the most in-depth, dedicated 'rocking' offset bridge - The Tuffset Bridge

I've touched on the subject of offset guitar bridges countless times, and here on the blog has certainly seen it's fair share of offset bridge waffle over the years! So why am I here yet again typing about offset bridges again? As another has crossed my path that I simply had to spotlight on the blog too.
We truly are spoilt for choice these days with a variety of bridge and vibrato solutions from cheap and cheerful to engineered to perfection pricey offerings. It's a great time to be an offset guitar fan, having said that, it can also be somewhat tricky deciding which bridge solution is the right one for you. I am in a lucky position where I am a professional guitar tech, also running a shop too. So I get to see a variety of offsets pass through my hands, providing me with plenty of chances to try a variety of bridges over the years which has been great. That's alongside my own personal offset modding journey too. I've tried my best to share those findings in prior blog articles, which get views daily, to this very day which is fantastic to see.

GPSR CUSTOMER NOTICE - EU & NI customer orders

Update April 2025:
I have been able to employ an EU based authorised representative going forward, specifically to represent my Signature and Solderless series pre-wired guitar harness product ranges.
So I am pleased to say that as of 8th April 2025, all of my Signature Series and Solderless series pre-wired harness products are available for sale/shipment to EU and EEA member states once again.
I appreciate your kind patience whilst I spoke with countless reps, spoke with countless specialists and gathered all of the relevant information required to be able to sell my products into the EU once again.
The only caveat to this - If you're browsing the website from the EU, or a EEA member state (Norway, Switzerland for example) you will be able to place an order for a Signature or Solderless series harness product no problem at all. However, if you add a product that currently is not able to be sold into the EU to the cart, it will block the sale and not allow the order to be placed. So only orders with Signature or Solderless series pre-wired kits can be ordered and solder to EU/EEA member states currently. I will detail as to why this is further below.
There are some brands where their products are made within the EU, or have been in touch to say they have also setup their products for EU sale so some selected branded products are also available for sale, this currently includes G7th capos, RightOn! straps, LEHLE pedals to name a small few.

New from Benson Amps and David Torn, the STÖRKN B0kš!

ȘTÖRKN B0kš time!

This riff on the Stonk Box is a collaboration between Benson Amos and creative composer, guitarist and much more, David Torn!

During the testing and development of the Stonk Box, Benson reached out to David to gather feedback and experience due to the artists familiarity with the classic fuzz it’s based upon. But ideas soon began circulating for a signature version with a few extra features, and the ȘTÖRKN B0kš was born.

Jackson Brooksby demos the FUZZMASTER

I recently contacted the lovely dude, Jackson Brooksby, about making some audio/visual demos of my recent collab product with NRG effects, the Fuzzmaster harness! So I packed up the old trusty demo duty Jazzmaster which currently has the prototype Fuzzmaster harness installed and sent it Jackson's way for him to have some fun with and record some clips so we could share it's sounds with the world. He's done a fantastic job capturing the sounds from the harness and circuit, pleased to hear it in action!

How to guide - Installing the FUZZMASTER harness kit

In this article I'm going to feature how to install one of my NRG x Home of tone 'FUZZMASTER' fuzz circuit loaded Jazzmaster pre-wired harness. From removing your original wiring, to prepping the control cavity with copper foil shielding and finally right through the final steps of install of the fuzz loaded harness.
