Will McNicol plays a Tom Sands Model 'S' White label

I couldn't help but share this one. As you may already know, I'm a big big fan of Tom Sands' work, and equally of Will McNicol's mastery of tasteful playing. So when a video pops up of him playing Tom's latest Model 'S', with a piece of music I remember my Dad playing a lot, it had to be shared! Enjoy

Just landed in the workshop

This Martin DCPA5 just landed with us in the workshop for a spot of TLC. It's owned by the lead singer and guitarist in local band, Of Kings & Captains. Such a great band and it has been a pleasure working on their guitars, this being the second. This one gets some good outings when they play acoustic sets, so seeing as it's a new year, it was worth giving it some TLC.
The neck has a little too much forward relief so I'm going to correct that, along with tweaking the bridge saddle to bring the action a touch lower and make it feel a little more playable. But other than that, I'm happy with the nut slot string height so nothing to touch there, and the top seems happy so no sense that it's been at the receiving end of the wrong humidity levels. Meaning I should be able to get it set up nicely.
This dreadnought shape is super loud, so I'm looking forward to getting it set up right with a fresh set of Martin SP Lifespan Light's (12s) and see how it plays and sounds on the other side, especially in the hands of Of Kings & Captains again.
Cheers for dropping it by lads!
