EU/EEA/NI visistors -

Update April 2025:

I have been able to employ an EU based authorised safety representative going forward, specifically to represent my Signature and Solderless series pre-wired guitar harness product ranges. This representative is solely for the purpose of meeting the EU's regulations in regards to GPSR, so they essentially facilitate any possible queries from EU customs for example should a safety inquiry arise. They do not handle any shipping, do not carry any stock etc. All harness products are still made one by one, by me (James) and dispatched from my office here in the UK. They are merely employed to meet the EU requirements, which allows me to sell and ship into the EU once more. Customs charges will still apply, so please refer to this page for any additional information on that subject.

So I am pleased to say that as of 8th April 2025, all of my Signature Series and Solderless series pre-wired harness products are available for sale/shipment to EU and EEA member states once again.

I appreciate your kind patience whilst I spoke with countless reps, spoke with countless specialists and gathered all of the relevant information required to be able to sell my products into the EU once again.

The only caveat to this - If you're browsing the website from the EU, or a EEA member state (Norway, for example) you will be able to place an order for a Signature or Solderless series harness product no problem at all. However, if you add a product that currently is not able to be sold into the EU to the cart, it will block the sale and not allow the order to be placed. In theory, due to how I have configured the website, the products you cannot buy won't be visible, but depending on how you browse this may not be the case so just thought I'd mention it going forward. So only orders with Signature or Solderless series pre-wired kits can be ordered and solder to EU/EEA member states currently. I will detail as to why this is further below.
There are some brands where their products are made within the EU, or have been in touch to say they have also setup their products for EU sale so some selected branded products are also available for sale, this currently includes G7th capos, RightOn! straps, LEHLE pedals to name a small few.

Northern Ireland update
Sales/Shipments to Northern Ireland is temporarily on hold whilst I now work through the requirements for the 'Windsor Framework'. I won't go into the details of this here, but a google search will hopefully provide you with the info you need about it. But basically there will just be a few new requirements for shipping to NI which I'll certainly be sorting ASAP now the instructions from Government and shipping companies is a bit clearer. So that's next on the job list, then I'll be back up and running for harness products to NI again.

If you are an individual in NI (so, not a business) then I can ship pre-wired kit products to you no problem at all but temporarily, will need to do this via a manual order as I can't configure the website to allow individual orders but block business orders. So manually is the only real way of dealing with this temporarily whilst I get the final Windsor Framework details sorted to allow sales again normally. Sorry for all the hassle, but sadly none of this is of my choosing or doing.

Other products/brands:
I am still in discussions with the many various distributors and manufacturers that I source my (non Home of Tone branded) products from, in regards to obtaining and displaying all of the required information to begin offering those particular products back to my EU based customers again.
Some UK based distributors or brands I purchase stock directly from, have unfortunately informed me that they won't be looking to provide the required info, as they are only authorised to supply goods to UK based retailers, and therefore don't have any responsibility or provide any responsibility to their UK based retailers who wish to sell that product into the EU. So that draws a line through certain products in my range. I'll make it clear which of those that is applicable too, in due course.
Some manufacturers are rolling out labelling and info required, so in time, I think certain products in my range will be back in a position to begin selling into the EU. But it is proving to still take time to have this info come through from all the various manufacturers looking to do this.
Some manufacturers of course are in a similar position to myself, where it simply isn't viable to adhere to all the requirements. So it may simply be that I can only offer certain brands and products to the UK market and possible other outside of EU countries. So those scenarios I will just have to play the waiting game for the manufacturer/brand to make a decision on what they wish to do with their own product going forward.

Hi Luke,
I am able to ship to the US. The GPSR changes and my temporary stoppage to EU and Northern Ireland are a result of a European Union specific regulation change. So no effect on shipments from UK to the USA.
Many thanks,
James
