(James') Home of Tone Ltd is based in the UK, and at the time of writing this (February 2026) sell and ship my full product ranges across the UK and selected countries worldwide.
I currently cannot, I'm sorry to say, sell and ship the full product ranges to European Union member states or Northern Ireland. However can sell and ship selected product ranges into EU member states and Northern Ireland, specifically my pre-wired harness kit range.
For more information specifically on that, please click HERE.

As Home of Tone Ltd is based in the UK, and a VAT registered business, you may or may not be charged UK VAT at 20% on your goods and services depending on where you are based.

So, who will need to pay VAT?
All customers and businesses based within the UK.

If you have your order shipped within the UK, collect your order from my office or purchase something from James' Home of Tone at a trade show/exhibition, you will be charged VAT at the current UK rate of 20%. Prices displayed and sold in person and on the website, will be shown inclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise, or you are logged in with an international account.

Who will not get charged VAT/Tax at the point of sale?
All customers with a shipping address outside of the UK.

Are you based outside of the UK, and/or having your order shipped to an address outside of the UK, then you will not be charged UK VAT at the point of sale, and if logged into the website with an international account, the prices displayed at checkout will automatically deduct the VAT rate.

Who pays the tax and import duties for shipments sent outside of the UK?
Home of Tone Ltd is only registered for VAT/Tax in the UK, therefore, I do not charge any Tax or duties on orders shipped to and delivered to outside of the UK.

If you are having goods delivered to any country outside of the UK it is the strictly recipients responsibility to pay any import tax, import duties and relevant customs handling charges relevant to their country. This is usually collected by the handling postal/courier service (for example, Royal Mail and/or their associated international postal services in your locality, or the handling courier like UPS). Please note, many/most of these postal/courier handlers may not release the goods to you until the TAX, duties and handling fees are paid. It is entirely the responsibility of the recipient (you, the importer) to pay any potential tax and duties incurred.

The Home of Tone Ltd website, providing you are logged in with an internationally registered account, or have informed the website that you are based outside of the UK will remove taxes in the pricing from the international websites listing, and also remove taxes during checkout from the UK store if a shipping address outside of the UK is selected.

How do I know how much TAX and IMPORT DUTY I will be charged upon import?
This ultimately will vary from country to country.

Each have their own tax rates, their own import threasholds, and their own import duty rates. Home of Tone LTD cannot, and are not obligated to provide you with an estimate on these tax and duty charges. On this ocassion, all I can best recommend is for you to research or contact your countries customs/governments to confirm any/all rates.

Effective July 1, 2026, the EU will remove the €150 low-value duty exemption and instead, a €3 flat duty per commodity code will be applied. These changes may affect the total landed cost of goods, customs processing, and compliance requirements when importing into the EU and may cause delays or disruptions on shipments.
The important detail is that the flat duty rate is applied per commodity code. For more information on this, please visit HERE or directly with the EU. This does not apply to those located outside of the European Union.
