The Rock Slide, now in stock!

I'm proud to welcome a new brand to the Home of Tone family, The Rock Slide! For long time followers of the Home of Tone, you'll know that high quality guitar slides have always been a big thing here. Offering the best glass slides in the world since 2015, with Diamond Bottlenecks! I have wanted to stock Rock Slides for a while as their attention to detail and quality of finish with their brass slides is superb. From a tapered internal diameter, notch cut and finger rest to the cool polished and 'swamp slide' finishes, these are great, weighty brass slides and compliment the best glass slides I already stock with DB!
There are a few variants still on back order, but for now I have a neat selection, including the Joey Landreth signature slide too and you can visit the collection by clicking HERE

Workshop Spotlight - Diamond Bottlenecks glass guitar slides with Ian McWee

I have known Ian McWee of Diamond Bottlenecks for many years. When I first became interested in slide guitar, I was reading an issue of Guitarist Magazine and a review of some beautiful glass slides caught my eye. After reading I realised these were made local to me, and knew I had to pay a visit. This must have been over 15 years ago now, and Ian was as enthusiastic about his slides and slide guitar in general as he is today.

If by any chance you haven't listened to Seth Lee Jones play guitar yet, be sure to check out his page along with this nice article spotlighting his unique playing and slj guitar.

I can't hide that I'm a big fan, and it's always great for me to see Seth using the Diamond Bottlenecks 'Ultimate' slide that we sent over to Tulsa for him. Once of the finest slide players around, and incredible all round player to give credit where it's due. He's also a great luthier, so check out his work and have a look at this article.
The slide Seth is using is a Blue w/Yellow Swirl Lead Crystal 'Diamond Bottlenecks Ultimate', we spent a while making sure the dimensions of the slide were suitable to him. But once I had one that matched his requirements to the mm, I sent it over and he's always posting up videos and photos of his using it, which is a great feeling for me as a fan.

How to Guide: Helping you get the right size Diamond Bottlenecks slide

How to Guide: Helping you get the right size Diamond Bottlenecks slide

One common question I get asked when players are looking to order their Diamond Bottlenecks Slide is, 'How do I make sure I order the right size for my finger?'. I hope to help with that question with this little guide, it's simple don't worry!

With generic music shop pyrex slides, most are just sized Small, Medium, Large etc, with a lot of players struggling to find one that's just right from those general sizing's. That's where it becomes very handy that Diamond Bottlenecks do what they do! As sizing options becomes much more refined meaning you're more likely to find the exact size that will see you playing much more comfortably, therefore helping you with your playing!

I popped in to see our friends at Diamond Bottlenecks today to collect a batch of slides, and see how the collection is coming along for the HUGE batch we're taking to The Guitar Show in Feb. Wow...they are looking so good! I love these things and what DB do, true masters of their craft! We also had a sneaky preview of the latest slide heading out to DB endorsed artist, Mark Knopfler. It was a lovely milky red coloured 'Ultimate' model with his recording studio logo beautifully adorning it! He's a lucky man!
I chose a few for stock and one in particular I personally love, I've even given it a nickname!
