What does the post Brexit trade deal mean to customers & orders placed from outside of the UK
I thought it would be useful to put an article together explaining things regarding the post-Brexit trade deal and what effect it will have on any customers from Europe looking to place an order. Many of my customers are based across Europe and have built up a great relationship with many of you over the years, so do hope this info will help make things clearer in terms of costs. Truthfully, the the big mixture of info out there can be a bit confusing. I've spent some time double checking everything to make sure this will be correct and will hopefully help any of you from the EU looking to place an order know what to expect in regards to the costs involved now.
Descendant Vibrato arm tension adjustment & routine maintenance tips
I have recently put together this little video on how to install and adjust the tension of the vibrato arm in your Descendant vibrato unit. The Descendant features a really cool locking and adjustable collet for the arm, which allows you to set the swing tension of the arm. From fully loose and swinging or stiff so it stays put (a little like a bigsby arm for example), whatever your preference it can be set and locked in position, but still be able to remove the arm easily without having to adjust every time.
But also, Descendant highly recommend some routine maintenance to the system to ensure it lasts well for many years to come. After all, we might clean our fretboards each string change, so why not also look after some heavy use components too. This video touches on that which might be helpful!

My 'SRV' inspired, Vintage Modified Stratocaster harness is now available
I have spent my guitar playing life around Stratocasters. I first become interested in them at the age of 5, seeing the likes of Hendrix, Clapton, SRV and Gilmour playing them on concert VHS tapes that my parents would put on whilst growing up. Although I was young, I soon noticed that all these people were playing the same type of guitar, and that really caught my eye. On my 6th birthday I asked for a guitar, and was incredibly lucky enough to have received a Squier Strat, and the Strat in general was pretty much all I played right up until my 30s. So needless to say, the Strat harness range is close to my heart and something I wanted to ensure is the best quality product I could offer to help bring out the best in your Strat too.
My first time trying out the Montypresso wax!
I was really keen to get my hands on the new 'Montypresso' tint/relic wax from Monty's Guitars. It's great to stock it, but I am very conscious that it is best to get some hands on experience with it to help answer any questions you may have along with get a feel for how to use it safely etc.

A fresh batch of Loaded For Bear Audio cables <3
A quality cable isn't just about signal path quality alone I think, it's about longevity and reliability, they can take a beating over the years particularly with gigging musicians, so having a cable you can trust to work as it should is a key buying point. This, among others, is one of the reasons I think Loaded For Bear Audio cables have been so popular since I introduced them to the Home of Tone range early this year.
Plus, look at them, beautiful!

I love them, So we have decided to offer some here at the Home of Tone! All handmade by Marcus, also by using as many recycled and off-cut materials as he can to reduce waste, these boards are an incredibly solid, affordable and quality alternative to some of the mass produced options on the market.
Ground Control Audio release NOODLES
Noodles is the first whole new circuit design release from Ground Control Audio in a couple of years, and is a 3-band active EQ/boost pedal. It features a bass, mids and treble channel. Each channel has its own gain control as well as a choice of 3 carefully selected frequencies of interest that the user can cycle through using a push button. Each channel is toggable using a footswitch. When enabled, the output of each channel is mixed in equally with the others as well as the dry signal, which always comes through.

UFO Alien Overlord! Shirt now available for Pre-Order!
I'm incredibly proud to launch my latest limited edition shirt design, which was designed by the immense talent that is Drew Millward. I've followed Drew's work for quite some time personally, so it's amazing to see him do his thing with the Home of Tone branding! For this idea I thought it would be cool to see our UFO tone pot featured in a 50s Sci-Fi film poster style design, and Drew took it even further than that, turning the tone pot turned into an Alien Overlord with a EL84 amp valve head too!
