Ordering/made to order lead time
This particular McNelly pickup model is hand made to order in Canada. McNelly are currently working to a roughly 6-8 week wait time on made to order pickups. By placing an order through the website, I will handle this made to order process from there on out. I handle the order, importing from Canada for you and once they're here, I inspect and ship them out to you.
About the Silvercaster
McNelly have taken the pickups designed for the Silver Sky PRS model and rebuilt them for traditional Strats with a signature McNelly twist. The pole pieces are radiused to 9.5" and matched with vintage Strat string spacing, offering a modern take on a classic sound.
The bridge pickup is available with two output options. The standard output closely matches the Silver Sky, offering cutting and jangly tones. The +10% version gives you a balanced output across the set with a fatter sound in the bridge, bringing it closer to a typical modern Strat setup.
These were developed by McNelly after they personally inspected and tested an original Silver Sky set to try and see what made them 'unique' to that model, and set about honouring that with some McNelly character and approach too.
I think this is great for players that have been intrigued by the tones captured by the Silver Sky model, but haven't quite felt the desire to reach for the flying bird inlay fingerboard and pointy headstock alternative juuust yet. Fitting a set of pickups designed around those featured in the silver sky might just help you with this dilemma though! Keep your traditional strat, capture some Silver Sky tonal character, a nice compromise!

DCR neck - 6.5k
DCR middle - 6.5k
DCR bridge - 6.5k
DCR bridge +10% option - 7.1k
Magnet direction - North to strings (Neck), South to strings (middle), North to strings (bridge)
Coil direction - Clockwise (neck), Counter-Clockwise (middle), Clockwise (bridge)
Recommended wiring - The Silvercaster pickups are 'optimal' when paired with 250k pots and a 0.1uF tone capacitor but can happily be paired with a 0.047uF or 0.022uF tone cap if you prefer a clearer response
Will they fit my guitar?
The Silvercaster for Strat pickup is traditional Strat single coil pickup sizing, as such, will fit any standard/traditional Strat model without modification.
Cover Options
McNelly pickups are listed individually, so simply add the neck, middle and/or bridge pickup in the cover option you wish, to the cart.
The Silvercaster for Strat is available with a range of popular plastic covers included.

Inside the box you'll find the pickup(s) you have ordered, covers for each along with your mounting screws and height rubbers for each.
Installation
These pickups are a traditional Stratocaster single coil size/style. They are 2 conductor wired (black for ground, off-white for hot). If by chance you aren't comfortable installing these pickups yourself, and are local to the Home of Tone, then I offer professional in-house installation. If you are installing them yourself, then I am of course here for any installation advise too.
