McNelly Silvercaster Single Coil Strat Pickup set w/+10% wind bridge

McNelly have taken the pickups designed for the Silver Sky PRS model and rebuilt them for traditional Strats with a signature McNelly twist. The pole pieces are radiused to 9.5" and matched with vintage Strat string spacing, offering a modern take on a classic sound.

These were developed by McNelly after they personally inspected and tested an original Silver Sky set to try and see what made them 'unique' to that model, and set about honouring that with some McNelly character and approach too. In particular, this bridge pickup in this set features a +10% overwind over the standard Silvercaster bridge pickup spec to sit a little closer to a traditional Strat bridge position pickup.

I think this is great for players that have been intrigued by the tones captured by the Silver Sky model, but haven't quite felt the desire to reach for the flying bird inlay fingerboard and pointy headstock alternative juuust yet. Fitting a set of pickups designed around those featured in the silver sky might just help you with this dilemma though! Keep your traditional strat, capture some Silver Sky tonal character, a nice compromise!

Recommended wiring - The Silvercaster Strat pickups are 'optimal' when paired with 250k pots and a 0.1uF tone capacitor, but you can certainly pair them with a 0.047uF or 0.022uF with great results too.

The Silvercaster pickup is traditional Stratocaster single coil pickup sizing, as such, will fit any standard/traditional Stratocaster model without modification.

These pickups are a traditional Stratocaster single coil size/style. They are traditional 2 wire as standard (Gavitt 22awg cloth style wire where black is ground, off-white is 'hot'). If by chance you aren't comfortable installing these pickups yourself, and are local to the Home of Tone, then I offer professional in-house installation.
