About Seymour Duncan Antiquity

Seymour Duncan have long cemented themselves as the leading aftermarket pickup brand in the world, offering a staggering selection of models, and doing so affordably too. The Antiquity range was introduced as part of their Custom Shop, seeing these hand made pickups able to take on quality vintage and vintage mod specs that the market demands. Antiquities feature some subtle aging to the bobbins, pole pieces and fixings making them a great option for relic projects, vintage instruments and so on.

About the Antiquity II™ P-Bass

The early 60s P-Bass sound is such an iconic tone, one that players still love to this day. This is a faithful version by the Seymour Duncan Antiquity team, perfect replacement for a tired vintage example, or a vintage inspired new build and project.

The UK recommended retail price for this pickup is £246.95, and as a UK main dealer for SD pickups I always aim to be competative with my SD pricing, so grab a great deal on these here at James' Home of Tone!

What SD say:
"Whether you’re upgrading your new instrument or you’re restoring a vintage axe, make your Precision Bass sound the way it was intended to with our Antiquity II P-Bass pickup. The seasoned Alnico 5 rod magnets and custom wind ensure the right balance of warm growl and articulate click perfect for classic rock, surf and staple R&B rhythm tones.

Hand made in our Custom Shop, the Antiquity II for P-Bass uses hand-fabricated forbon bobbins, plain enamel mag wire, hand ground sand-cast magnets, brass bottom plate, and waxed cloth pushback wire. Each is lacquered and potted in lamp black paraffin wax like the originals."
