CTS Premium 450 'SSSP' Vintage Taper Series 250k audio taper pots - Solid short shaft

£6.95

About
I’m a big fan of CTS pots, I've tried and tested a variety and our friends at Six String Suppliers have done a great job spec'ing their SSSP 'Six String Supplies Premium' series. So glad I got informed of these, SSS is another Midlands based company so more than happy to support them and stock/use their great spec custom CTS pots. For reference these are also my go-to spec for my pre-wired kits and in house repair work too. Personally use these pots regularly with great results and feedback from customers.

These are 450 series, custom spec pots, and are based on the CTS 'B' audio 15% taper. The pot value features a +/-8% tolerance which is always important as the tight tolerances make for reliable use and more predictable results. Their construction is great thanks tolonger life-span brass shaft and bushing with a graphite wiper. Each pot comes complete with a mounting nut, washer and star tooth washer.

This specific pot is a 250k, short, solid shaft design. You'll perhaps most commonly find and use these on Telecasters, or with other single coil equipped guitars. The solid shaft basically means these will suit control knobs that secure in place via a grub screw (rather than push fit splines) and more specifically suit control knobs with a 1/4" / 6.35mm diameter. The mounting thread length is fairly shallow on this specific pot, this means they do better suit mounting to control plates or pickguards. The mounting thread length is 1/4" / 6.35mm, so please bare this in mind when ordering. As they may not neccesarily comfortably fit through a body top for example, all depends on the tops thickness. See measurements below for more information
