Fender CTS - 250k Notched No Load pot

£12.99

About
So first of all, what is a no load pot? Predominantly used in the tone position, The no-load tone pot works like a standard tone knob from positions 1-9, but at 10, it is 'removed' from the circuit so that you get the full, un-touched sonic output of your pickup. It means more output and more treble without using a booster pedal or active controls. So if you like the sound of your pickup un-influenced by a pot value, and straight through to the jack, this is a great way to help achieve that sound whilst still having the versatility of being able to turn the pot slightly and have some adjust-ability again. But these can have a variety of uses too, one of which being the pot I use in the ‘Blender’ strat harness, so if you’re looking to do that wiring style yourself the 250k version is the very same pot I use if that helps!
The Fender spec'd CTS no load pot has a really handy extra feature which others I have come across do not, which is a noticable 'notch' when it is at the full position. So for example if you had a control knob on there, when the pot is at '10' there is a very noticable notch as you reach that position. Then as you turn it, you'll pass that notch and engage the pot resistance. This is really handy in gig scenarios perhaps, as you can tell by feel where you are in the pot position. I have only come across this option on the Fender commissioned no load pot, so I opted to order some in!

I stock this pot in the split shaft, and solid shaft spec.

Total pot depth - 26mm
Length of threaded shaft - 6mm
Shaft diameter - 9.52mm
Base of pot diameter - 23.5mm
