About
The ’59 Sound by ZVEX is based on the legendary 1959 Tweed Fender Bassman amplifier. The ’59 Sound captures the essence of that magical amp circuit. 'Amp in a box', and what a beautiful pedal box it is, thanks to this particular one being the beautiful USA made hand painted edition. Each enclosure painted by hand and dated.
Here's a little insight into the thoughts behind this pedal, from Zack himself! -
"I've never really liked the sound of distorted Fender amps (this is Zack pontificating) except for my earliest amp, a blonde Fender Bassman with a 2X12 cab that just rip roared pure tinnitus joy. But there is one Fender that blows that one completely away, and that's a '59 Bassman. I guess the way it affected Jim Marshall was similar, back in the 60s, because he used it as the template for the first Marshall amps. So it's not out of the realm of possibility to imagine that the ZVEX Box of Rock, which accurately models the Marshall JTM45 amps, could be modded to sound like a '59 Bassman. Tommy Rehbein, our customer service specialist, tackled this particular concept and listened closely to a '59 Bassman for a few days and tweaked components in our BOR until he got that magical '59 Sound worked out... and now we're offering it to you. Check out the video and see if this is a sound you've been searching for. It's pretty amazing, especially when you use your guitar's volume control to explore it's wide range of textures."

Ordering/shipping
Local pickup - If you are local and wish to collect any items or order in advance for collection on a specific day, then you can still place an order online and select local pickup at the checkout. Or drop me a message and I'll reserve the items ready for your visit.
For online ordering and dispatch - In stock, non made to order items are processed and dispatched 4 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.
For orders that are placed on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday I have an order cut off time of 14:00GMT to allow me chance to process, pack and dispatch your order same day.
For non dispatch days (Saturday, Sunday, & Thursday) there is no order cut-off time, and these will be processed, packed and shipped on the closest following dispatch day.
I will always endeavor to fulfill orders as quickly as I can and if you have specific requirements for a delivery date please do let me know and hopefully I can help.
