About

There are multiple ways you could create a treble bleed mod, whether it's just a capacitor, or a cap and resistor wired in parallel and also wired in series, but then there's the matter of choosing the right cap and resistor values to suit your needs too. For some, choosing is frustrating, but this is where this item really caught my eye as I thought it would be great for those that really like to dial things in to their tastes. A variable treble bleed!

The V-Treb Variable Treble Bleed Circuit made by Precision Music Technologies attaches to the bottom of any volume pot and corrects the problem of high frequency losses at reduced volumes by allowing the player to control how bright or warm the tone will get as the volume control is reduced. Turning the trim pot clockwise increases the amount of treble bypass for a brighter sound at reduced volumes. Turning the trim pot counter clockwise reduces the amount of treble bypass for a warmer tone at reduced volumes. With the volume at 10, the V-Treb is removed from the circuit and does not affect the sound.

  • Get precise adjustment of tone as volume is reduced.
  • Use with 250K & 500K pots - Single coils & Humbuckers.
  • Improves audio taper roll off between 6 and 10.
  • Will not affect tone at full volume.
  • Mounts to any volume pot with included adhesive tape.
  • Can also be remote mounted for easier adjustment.
  • Depth 0.38"(9.65mm)
  • Length 1.06" (26.92mm)
  • Width 0.46" (11.68mm)
  • Thickness 0.06" (1.52mm)

*please note that this is for the variable treble bleed only, photo of V-Treb with the pot is for illustrative purposes only and doesn't include a pot. If you need a new pot though, I stock a wide variety of quality items too!
