Availability

This particular McNelly pickup model is hand made to order in Canada. McNelly are currently working to a roughly 6-8 week wait time on made to order pickups. By placing an order through the website, I will handle this made to order process from there on out. I handle the order, importing from Canada for you and once they're here, I inspect and ship them out to you.

About the Duel Blade bridge pickup

The Duel Blade is made to take advantage of two distinct personalities. Wired in parallel, it pulls off a clear twanging Tele. Switch it to series wiring for thicker, more aggressive humbucker tones. Both setting are noise cancelling and the pickup is a standard replacement Tele bridge pickup size.

Nerdy specs

Magnet - Ceramic
Type - Passive
Wire type - 4 conductor
DCR bridge - 10.2k

Recommended wiring - The Duel Blade bridge pickup is generally seen paired with 500k pots, and a 0.022uF capacitor. If you're wiring it in parallel only, you may benefit from sticking with more traditional Tele 250k pots, but for series wiring I would recommend 500k. If you're looking to switch between series and parallel, then I would again go with 500k to ensure the series mode isn't dark.

Will it fit my guitar?

This specific Duel Blade bridge pickup is traditional Telecaster bridge pickup size and mount. It is intended for traditional suspended mounting via the Tele bridge plate and has a threaded fibreboard baseplate.

What's included?

Inside the box you'll find the pickup you have ordered, along with your mounting screws and rubber tubings.

Installation

This pickup is 4 conductor wired. If by chance you aren't comfortable installing these pickups yourself, and are local to the Home of Tone, then I offer professional in-house installation. If you are installing them yourself, then I am of course here for any installation advise too.

Hear the Duel Blade bridge

Seth Lee Jones is a master luthier and incredible musician in his own right. He uses the Stagger Swagger & Duel Blade in his custom built Tele.
