About
This is a consignment listing on behalf of one of my customers, for the sale of his MIJ Mustang. It is a MG-65 reissue model, Made In Japan with a 'T' Serial number + 6 digits which dates it to a production run between 2007-2010.
I have just completed a general clean up, checkover a setup of the guitar prior to sale, so it's freshened up nicely and ready to go.
At some point it has had a replacement neck position pickup, with a Bare Knuckle model, the original neck pickup is no longer present. Unfortunately, the customer doesn't recall exactly what model pickup it is, and there aren't any model names on BK pickups, but I have inspected it and it is definitely a genuine BK pickup. The bridge position pickup is the original factory 'MG-Vintage' Fender, grey bobbin, cloth wire mustang pickup, along with all of the other wiring components which too are original. I have cleaned the switches and pots with quality contact cleaner, all working as it should and sounding nice!
It has CTS 250k Audio taper pots, 0.05mfd tone cap, a Switchcraft USA jack, unknown brand 3 position slide switches but I personally suspect all wiring with exception of the neck pickup, is all original. Control and pickup cavities have the vintage style brass shielding plates.

It has a pair of schaller, or schaller style strap buttons. It has the original set of 'F' stamped Fender tuners with aged white plastic hex buttons.
Overall condition is good, that I would place it as a 7.5-8/10. There are the odd wear areas to the finish on the lower edge of the body that has ever so slightly discoloured the Olmypic White finish. Some dinks and dents along the lower underside edge. At some point it appears some glue has been fed into the upper strap button hole, which in turn has run down the inner edge of the upper horn. Some signs of hand wear to the bass side of the bridge wearing through the plating to the brass. A split to the bridge pickup cover, and some picking/playing wear to the neck pickup cover. Neck is in very good condition, no dinks, dents or scratches to the playing area of the neck front or back, only some dinks on the top edge of the headstock. Tuners work and hold well. Overall guitar has clearly been used and played, but remins in an overall good condition, I score it around 7.5-8 out of 10. More detailed photos can be taken and sent on request, but I hope the ones provided help showcase the guitar as it sits today. It does come with a case, but it isn't a Fender branded case.
