CTS - Reverse / Left Handed audio taper 250k & 500k short shaft pots

£6.99

About
I’m a big fan of CTS pots, and these have proved really popular for left handed guitar players. Please note that there is a cast molded locator tab, which you may or may not need depending on the guitar it is being installed in. If you don't need it, and you're finding that the tab is preventing the pot from sitting flush against the body/control plate, then you can simple snip this tab off with some quality cutters easily. I do this when using these pot types on any repairs or harness builds so thought it might be helpful info to share!

Left handed taper?
Pots in right handed guitars (and many factory LH guitars too) are wired in a way that volume, for example, increases as the control knob is turned in a clockwise direction. For audio/logarithmic pots, it only functions correctly in one direction, so what happens if you would like it to turn in the other direction which some left handed players would prefer? You'll require reverse audio taper pots, or sometimes called left handed taper pots.

These are the pots I used in my left handed taper pot equipped harnesses.

Not sure whether Left Handed/Reverse audio taper pots are 'right' for you? Check out this article I put together addressing the subject, and hopefully it will help you find the correct choice for your playing. HERE
