I have recently been encounting an issue with delays of shipments sent using the Royal Mail Tracked 48 postal service. I'll note, this isn't an isolated issue for me, I have spoken with other companies who are experiencing the same locally. This specifically is far from ideal when I'd say 95% of UK customers choose that as their shipping option at the checkout.

I'm currently trying to haggle with Royal Mail, in light of their issues, to improve my Tracked 24 pricing. So I can just remove 48 altogether and send everything out on the more reliable 24 service.
I don't want their faults with 48 make me lose out on every shipment cost, nor do I expect my customers to have to pay more in shipping for the 24 either, so hopefully a happy middle ground can be found ASAP.

It's all frightfully boring stuff, but something I wanted to update everyone about to share that I'm aware, I'm working on it, and it's a priority to ensure everyone gets their orders in a timely way, as expected.

Very short term, I physically can't afford to take the hit on covering the difference of price for every order, so until I have an answer from RM in regards to 24 pricing, I'll need to keep the 48 service available. But if you could just keep in mind that if choosing Tracked 48 as your postage option, it could encounter a longer transit time due to ongoing Royal Mail issues, I'm sorry to say. Hopefully I'll begin to see some answers and resolves by the end of this week though!
