Two new Jennings Guitars builds commissioned!
I have just confirmed the orders of two new stock instruments from Jennings Guitars due for completion around February 2022! Both me and Chad wanted to shine the spotlight on the Navigator model this time around and we have spec'd out two amazing builds to do just that. Both of these builds are available, so you can make either yours! As we've picked specs that have otherwise not been built before, I don't have photo examples of exactly what they will look like, but I do have photos of other builds that have featured one or more of the options I've chosen for each, so hopefully they will help visualise things!

Jennings Navigator

The Navigator model is Jennings' take on the iconic Tele, all handmade by Chad in California. You'll find rolled fretboard edges, rounded fret ends, beautiful finishing work and Chad's fine attention to detail. If you were able to see my previous stock Jennings instruments first hand, you'll know his work well and be confident that you're getting a very well built guitar here.

Jennings Navigator

First up, I really wanted to capture the vibes of a classic Tele design with the 60s Double Bound style models, but with some Jennings flare. So it features Chad's signature textured grain with satin black top and back, parchment binding and another Jennings signature look, non painted, exposed roasted ash sides which creates a beautiful contrasting look and is featured in a photo above shown on a Voyager shape. Then we have a roasted maple neck and rosewood fingerboard, clay dot markers, Mastery Tele bridge and a pair of McNelly A2 Signature Plus pickups. This is going to be a really nice build and I'm loving the spec's chosen, classic meets unique.

This build retails at £2,450 inc VAT landed. As this guitar is already spec'd and on order, I know the price for the model and can accept deposit of 10% to secure the build. This is a reduced deposit amount compared to a custom build, (which is normally a 50% deposit to order) so this is a fantastic way of securing a Jennings build for a smaller deposit than a fully custom build as well as skipping the wait list!

Jennings Navigator

So with the tip of the hat to a classic double bound Tele style with the first Navigator build, myself and Chad worked together on the spec for this build with the intent of doing something pretty unique! We wanted to showcase the variety of specs on offer for the Navigator range and have some fun with this one.
We started off wanting to show off a brand new colour for Jennings, with Satin Fern green! This colour is displayed on a Voyager model above and is a lovely soft almost pastel green which I think will really suits the roasted maple fretboard we've picked, again displayed nicely in the photo above.

I have been inspired by McNelly's Sparkletron humbuckers for a long time, and have often included them in stock instrument builds as they sound so good and offer a player fantastic versatility. I've also become a big fan of Cabronita style builds, and decided to make a Cab inspired Navigator! We've chosen some really cool features which are detailed below. Although I don't have photos of this build, because there hasn't been a Navigator like it before, I have decided to list a few photo examples of some of the specs detailed across a few other builds to help visualise it.
Chad really wanted to build a Navigator featuring the Duesenberg/Goldo deluxe tremola, so we have spec'd it with this superb unit along with a roller bridge for extra tuning stability.

Shape/model - Solid body Navigator

I'm really excited to showcase Jennings here again with these stock instruments. The last year has been so difficult trying represent my beloved guitar brands with not being able to have visitors at the office to try them out. So with things relaxing a bit here now and being able to welcome visitors again, getting some stock guitars ordered feels such a relief after a tough year in that regard.
If you do like the sound of either guitar and would like to secure the build to your name then I'd love to speak with you and help make that happen.
