McNelly J-Bass Pickup

Inspired by the early Jazz Bass tone that's full and punchy with great string definition. The bridge is wound with a little higher output making it more usable on it's own.

They're available for both 4 string, and 5 string Jazz Basses, and also available individually for either the 'neck' position, or 'bridge' position pickups. As standard they are provided with black covers.

Wire type - 2 wire
DCR neck - 7.65k (4 string)
DCR bridge - 8.85k (4 string)
Magnet direction - Neck pickup South up, bridge pickup North up
Coil direction - Neck pickup Clockwise, bridge pickup Counter-clockwise

Recommended wiring - McNelly Pickups recommend 250k pots, and a 0.022uF capacitor, but you could also pair it with a 0.047uF if you prefer a slightly warmer vintage tone and response. 

This Jazz bass pickup is designed and made to match traditional Jazz Bass size and mount. It is intended for traditional mounting via screws into the body, and adjustment via sponges underneath the pickup(s).

Inside the box you'll find the pickup you have ordered along with your mounting screws and height adjustment sponges.

This pickup is traditional 2 wire as standard (Gavitt cloth 22awg wire, usually off-white for hot and black for ground). If by chance you aren't comfortable installing these pickups yourself, and are local to the Home of Tone, then I offer professional in-house installation. If you are installing them yourself, then I am of course here for any installation advise too.

Local pickup - If you are local and wish to collect any items or order in advance for collection on a specific day, then you can still place an order online and select local pickup at the checkout. Or drop me a message and I'll reserve the items ready for your visit.
For online ordering and dispatch - In stock, non made to order items are processed and dispatched 4 days a week; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.
For orders that are placed on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday I have an order cut off time of 14:00GMT (with Royal Mail shipping services only) to allow me chance to process, pack and dispatch your order same day.
For non dispatch days (Saturday, Sunday, & Thursday) there is no order cut-off time, and these will be processed, packed and shipped on the closest following dispatch day.
