Home of Tone Record of the week - Kurt Vile's b'lieve i'm goin down...
Kurt Vile's seemingly free falling guitar parts, meandering vocals and country-indie esq sound is something I've fell completely in love with. I was pretty late to the game with his music, but have truly been making up for it ever since particularly with b'lieve I'm goin down.. being right up there as one of my most listened to albums of recent years.

The opening track, Pretty Pimpin' pretty much sets you up with what to expect from the rest of the album. It's chilled vibe and even more chilled vocal lines are captivating to me, with lyrics that make you smile whilst getting lost in his world and sound.
I particularly love 'That's life though', 'All in a daze work', 'Lost my head there', 'Kidding around' and the parting track 'Wild Imagination'.

For those that know me well, my brain is pretty busy, often getting stuck inside of it whilst it takes over, but Kurt Vile's music is so relaxing for me that it seems to calm down the noise and remember the moments we've enjoyed listening to this album driving along the coasts of Cornwall on family holiday's over the past few years. He's a master of leaving space around the notes and words, and I'm obsessed with this record. So glad to have discovered his music, even if it was a little late in the game!

James.
