About

Stocking ThorpyFX pedals has honestly been a dream of mine, one of those brands I have really admired and hoped I could stock one day, and I'm so proud to say that has finally happened!

ThorpyFX is a family run business located in Brackley, England. The team is made up of Adrian and Georgia steering the boat. They've since been joined by a small team of designers (including Dan Coggins formerly of Lovetone fame), two full time in house pedal builders, a few PCB builders in house and remote, plus the lovely ladies who load enclosures, polish and shine ready to ship, and parcel up to head to your front door.

Heavy Water

Just to start things off, this pedal is from a limited edition run ThorpyFX made with a really cool textured white enclosure with pink control knobs. I only have x1 available from this ltd run.

HEAVY WATER is a creation designed to meet the requests ThorpyFX were receiving to release the Boost side of the DANE as a standalone pedal. So not one to disappoint, they went ahead and did just that….but in typical Thorpy fashion it went one step further. Therefore, HEAVY WATER has two sides in one of the smaller sized enclosures – the same high headroom super clean boost from the DANE pedal on the right. On the left they tweaked the boost to provide more volume but with a grittier/dirtier character from the Germanium diodes lurking within. The pedal is designed so that each side can be used independently but they can also be combined to absolutely smash the front end of a valve amp into submission. Subtle, heavy or mental the options within the two sides will astonish.

For those that use the pedal normally on a traditional pedalboard, this is the NORMAL IO spec.

Specs

Size: (W)65mm x(L)125mm x(H)53mm (top of Knobs)

Current Draw -  24mA

For those that use the pedal normally on a traditional pedalboard, this is the NORMAL IO spec.
