About the Saint Nick
It's Christmas, the eggnog is flowing, and McNelly Pickups thought they'd have a bit of fun with these, and for one night only (Christmas Eve) bring back the Saint Nick! Dropping single coils in a humbucker guitar with no need for mods is the name of the game with the Saint Nicks.
They're warm, fat, and chimey. Just like the man himself.
Some words from Tim about the old faithful, 'Saint Nick'
"A few years ago, I was making a pickup called the Saint Nick; maybe you remember it. It was one of these humbucker sized P90s. Somehow it caught the attention of the good folks at Gibson. Just before Christmas, they [their lawyers] sent a nice little C&D care package because they felt that it infringed on a patent of theirs. I played ball for a few weeks or so, but it wasn’t long until I realized that lawyers are just as expensive as people say. So I pulled the Saint N ick out of the lineup and was left with an opportunity/need to design something as a replacement. I had been working on a design already. No prototypes or testing, but the idea and concept existed. The Saint Nick situation only sped up the process so I finished developing the Stagger Swaggers. Since a month after releasing them, they have consistently outsold every other pickup we make. They still do. So thanks Gibson? What a weird and wonderful Christmas gift that was.
Back for one night only, the anniversary edition Saint Nick." Availability
