About Tone Ninja
Tone Ninja nuts are made from an engineering polymer (more about that later) that was specifically chosen to meet the specific characteristics required of an outstanding nut for your guitar - namely high density (to transmit tone), low friction (to avoid sticking and binding), and easy workability (to allow perfect custom fits) while retaining wear resistance (so it doesn't wear out).
Originally, nuts were traditionally made of bone, carved and slotted to suit. The main problem with bone is that it can be hard to work, and can vary in density.

As technology progressed, various different materials were used, including brass, graphite, low cost plastic (still used on many entry level instruments and even some higher priced guitars), engineered plastics such as micarta, corian and Graph Tech's Tusq material (which is actually an injection molding plastic called polyphenylene sulfide).
When they were selecting a material for Tone Ninja nuts, they wanted to improve on these materials rather than just imitate them, and as a result selected an acetal copolymer with glass fiber reinforcement (For the technically minded, more information here) because of it's high stiffness, low coefficient of friction and excellent dimensional stability.

I personally needed a new nut for my main guitar after a nut slot filing miss-hap. The guitar originally had GraphTech and that was always my go-to, but I fancied giving these a try instead. I personally felt these were far superior, easier to work with and achieve a more polished, professional fit and finish, but it also made the guitar acoustically more vibrant and resonant. A honest improvement so it felt a no-brainer to begin stocking some of the range for the most popular models!

Available in 'traditional' white or a more modern black finish.

Specifications

Tone Ninja guitar nut in an off-white finish, suitable for a Fender Stratocaster or Telecaster. This nut has a flat base and is therefore suitable for guitar neck nut slots that have a flat base (not curved).

Even though this Tone Ninja nut is intended to be as close fit to specific guitars as they can, each guitar is different and therefore may still require some minor alterations to the nut length, height and thickness to ensure a perfect fit for your instrument. If you in doubt about making these modifications, then we recommend taking the instrument to a local qualified guitar luthier.

Top radius: 7.25 in.
Bottom radius: flat
Flat length: 1.76 in (44.7mm)
Width: 0.013 in (3.3mm)
Height: 0.25 (6.35mm)
E to E: 1.375 (34.92mm)
