For such a simple configuration, I must admit that the Les Paul harness has been the model I've researched and refined the most in my time making harnesses. I wanted to be respectful of the traditional aspects of the guitar that so many people love, bringing the best out of the iconic Gibson design.
I have had so many requests for Coil Split 'push/pull' LP harnesses, but it got me thinking. I have always found the Jimmy Page type wiring fiddly for my personaly tastes in use, but do like the idea of having coil split and a phase switch. So have decided to offer that instead!
The neck tone pot is a CTS DPDT push/pull switch that reverse the phase of the neck pickup, which will help achieve that Peter Green style out of phase tone. Then the bridge tone pot is also a CTS DPDT push/pull switch that will control coil split of both neck and bridge pickups. So you don't have individual coil split control, more of a 'master' coil split control for both, but certainly opens up the versatility with a less fiddly to use layout which I think in use is much easier.
But please note some of the details in the installing section to ensure your pickups are suitable and are confident in soldering the slightly more complicated install.

Installing
Important note - This schematic/wiring style will only work if your humbuckers have 4 conductor wires.
As the install is slightly more complicated than traditional wiring styles and also space is a little tighter to work in due to the additional connections needing to be made, I highly recommend this kit for more experienced modders, or take it to a trusted guitar tech to install on your behalf.

I have intended for my wiring harnesses to be as simple as possible to install to your Les Paul, as well as writing an in depth fitting guide, and simple to follow wiring diagrams.

Will the pots fit? - The parts I use, in particular the pots, are CTS branded pots which are imperial measurements. If you're fitting this harness to a far east built variant for example such as a Epiphone or similar, then you may have to widen the holes in the body to accommodate for these imperial measurement pots. 
For reference, the CTS pots I use in this harness have a shaft diameter of 9.52mm.
You may also require new control knobs to fit the CTS pot 'split shaft' spline diameter of 5.95mm(adjustable) with 24 splines.
If you do require US spec control knobs, we do carry a selection of popular options in stock and they can be viewed in the hardware & plastic hardware categories on the store.

The mounting board I ship my harnesses out on, were taken from measurements of a USA build Gibson Les Paul. But I do allow for give in the wire lengths between components, so if your guitar slightly varies from this, then it likely won't be an issue. If it's drastically different to these measurements, feel free to get in touch and we can see about accommodating for that where possible. The centre to centre measurements between components are - 
Centre of neck volume pot and neck tone pot - 63mm
Centre of neck volume pot and bridge volume pot - 50mm
Centre of neck tone pot and bridge tone pot - 50mm
Centre of bridge volume pot and bridge tone pot - 61mm

Are my pickups suitable? - For coil split and phase reverse wiring, you will need pickups that facilitate that functionality. This is usually possible with '4 Conductor' wires, which means your pickup should have 4 different colour wires coming from it with a bare wire additionally. Unfortunately no two pickup maker uses the same wire colour coding though, so what Seymour Duncan use for their colour coding will be different to bare Knuckle for example. So ensure you have checked that firstly, the pickups are able to facilitate this schematic, and that you have familiarized yourself with the manufacturers colour coding. 
To solder coil split/push pull pots it's ever so slightly more complicated than a bog standard pot. The space is a little tighter, the lugs on the PCB for the coil split wires are fairly small, and sometimes making ground connections can be a bit harder due to the reduced space. I would perhaps recommend this install to a more experienced solderer or feel free to take your guitar to a trusted professional guitar tech to install for you if you're not totally confident.

With or without the toggle harness?
This ultimately comes down to your requirements for the work being carried out. If you're happy with the quality or condition of your existing toggle switch and jack, then you can simply order the pots only section of the harness meaning you can use your existing toggle switch and jack. But if you feel the quality or condition of your existing switch or jack isn't up to the job, then I also offer Les Paul harnesses as a complete kit including a new pre wired Switchcraft toggle switch and Pure Tone Multi contact jack socket. High quality components as a complete upgrade/replacement. 
If you're choosing to have the push/pull pots in the tone positions, then the switch harness will be supplied with traditional outer braided wire. But if you're ordering the version where your push/pull pots will be in the volume positions, to make the install easier I supply the switch harness wired with individual cloth covered wires. You'll find this install a lot easier than trying to solder the braided wire to the pot casings  where there is a chunky PCB on the back making it difficult. Hope this helps!

Long or Short, which do I need?
The question I probably get asked most is, "Will I need long or short shaft pots?". Well Gibson are of course known for lots of transitional changes to specs from the golden era right up to modern day. I have compiled a list of Gibson models which use either Short or Long shaft pots on the individual pot listing HERE But, if you're still not sure, the simplest answer is that ALL types of Gibson or Epiphone Les Paul will fit a long shaft pot, as you can adjust the two supplied nuts to suit the height in the body. All Epiphone Les Paul's with exception of the Elitist model use short shaft pots. Also, feel free to send me a photo of the inside of the control cavity or a photo of the pot itself, hopefully I can help identify it for you.

- For harness kits with the additional toggle section, I use a Switchcraft 3 way short frame toggle switch. (We use this as there is more thread and more space left in switch cavity, makes life a lot easier when mounting!) No need to use an extended knurled nut.

Why these spec parts over others available?
Simply put, component choice has been one of the most important parts of my product development. I have worked on guitars for many years, and built these kits professionally since 2015, and as a result have been able to see and experience working on the majority of components available on the market. In my findings, A/B testing and more, I have found the components I decided on for my Signature Series to be the most reliable, best tolerance and great functioning parts to use to help customers get the most out of their instruments. I use CTS '450' series premium spec pots as they have a tight tolerance, and will consistently provide me with accurate value, as well as very solid build quality. I use trusty 'Mustard' style polyester film 'tone' capacitors as in my opinion they simply can't be beat for great value, solid construction, solid lead-outs, super tight tolerances and reliable tone/function. I would personally much rather use a trusty Mustard for example over something like a paper in oil, as from experience that are so much more reliable to use. This is from carrying out a lot of A/B testing, both tonally, as well as armed with the multi-meter for testing values and actual tolerances, as well as handling them to test construction quality for long lasting reliability in use. I use the brilliant 'Pure Tone' Multi Contact Jack sockets as they are incredibly reliable, due to their additional contact points for both tip and sleeve. I use CRL, Oak and Switchcraft brand switches across the range as these are built very well, with care will last for many years to come and have long since provided me with reliable use professionally. All kits are wired up with quality USA made Gavitt wire, it's great to work with, super consistent gauge and provides me with a very reliable quality item for my kits. I totally understand that with anything guitar, it is subjective, but I have, with an open mind, thoroughly tested a broad variety of components over the years and these have all become the items I trust to use every day.

Do you make custom harnesses?

I'm afraid I do not offer a custom harness service. Only kits developed, tested and listed on my website are the available kits. So no custom schematics etc. If you happen to be local to my office, then I do carry out custom work in house, but in regards to shipped out pre-wired harnesses I do not offer custom kits. I am however happy to use different pot values or cap values within reason if you have a specific requirement that differs to the specs listed above.
